AEO Action vs Trakkr: eight engines watched, or six worked.
Trakkr watches eight AI platforms for $100 a month and runs one of the best content operations in the category. AEO Action scans up to six, then builds, publishes, and proves. Twice on the price sheet, the gap between them is $49 — this page counts what sits inside it.
Updated 2026-08-11 · Prices and data verified 2026-08-11
Trakkr and AEO Action price the same daily habit and different jobs. Trakkr's $100/month watches all 8 of its AI models daily — more surfaces than our $149Solo tier scans, and we will not pretend otherwise. Ours spends the difference on what follows a bad answer: a prepared fix each day, publishing on your approval, index submission, and a dated receipt when the page gets cited. At today's list prices the two sit $49 apart at the entry rung and $49 at the agency rung, so one question runs through this page: what is watching platforms seven and eight worth if nothing gets built on any of them?
What Trakkr built, credited properly
Trakkr, in the neutral one-liner from our dataset: Flat-priced AI visibility tracker for brands and agencies — self-positioned as 'the $100 alternative' to enterprise tools, with all 8 models on every paid plan. Founder-built, launched free in 2025, now a paid product with daily reports across every active prompt and model.
The part that deserves open credit is the operation around the tracker. Trakkr publishes review hubs on half its rivals, free no-signup tools — a site grader, an llms.txt generator, a public visibility leaderboard — and an AI Search Traffic Index its pages describe as GA4 AI-referral data across 4,813 anonymized properties; the same pages describe 24,000+ tracked brands. Those are Trakkr's own descriptions, not our measurements, but the education is real. Its Reddit Intelligence — the threads AI models actually cite — watches the same channel our Reddit citations guide works from the doing side. One caveat its own format demands: when a Trakkr review assesses a rival, that is a competitor writing about a competitor. So is this page.
The engine count, counted honestly
Trakkr's pricing page markets all 8 models on every paid plan: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Meta AI, DeepSeek, and Google AI Overviews. Its own docs page describing daily reports still says all 6 — we read that as stale documentation and carry 8 as the current, corroborated figure, and we flag the conflict because a comparison that hides its uncertainties is not one. Notably absent from that list: Microsoft Copilot.
Our side, stated with the same precision: up to six engines — ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude. At $149, Solo picks 3 from a pool of 5; Solo Pro at $299picks 4 of 6, where Claude joins in a labeled model mode — how the model understands your brand long-term, never counted as live; Agency runs all six. ChatGPT and Gemini are scanned through the live consumer interface daily, Perplexity through its API, AI Overviews from live Google results, Copilot from Bing's answer layer.
So score the watching row honestly: Trakkr wins it. Five names overlap between the two lists, and the real difference is four engines — their Grok, Meta AI, and DeepSeek against our Copilot. If the widest affordable net is the job, $100 for 8 models is the better tracker price, and an even wider net exists one page over in our Rankscale comparison. The rest of this page is about why we gave that row up on purpose.
The first $49: what Solo adds to a tracker
Here is the day $149buys. Every morning the scan asks the live engines 50 buyer questions, regenerated from your business profile on each run. Then a daily orchestrator picks the single highest-value move and prepares the entire artifact — a landing page, an FAQ page, a Reddit pack, or structured data that states your prices, services, and Q&A in a form a machine can parse without interpreting. It waits in a queue. Nothing publishes without your Approve click.
After the click, the artifact ships by whichever path your platform allows: Webflow and Squarespace publish directly; on WordPress the plugin publishes the approved page automatically on its hourly sync — usually live within the hour; Wix and custom builds get finished HTML and schema ready to paste, verified once live. Approved URLs then go to IndexNow within minutes — Bing decides what to index. The reason we automate that submission is a measurement, not a mechanism:
~87%
of ChatGPT's cited pages also rank in Bing's top results
Source: Seer Interactive, 2026
An overlap measured from the outside — OpenAI documents OAI-SearchBot as the crawler behind ChatGPT Search and does not publish which index or indexes sit behind it. We submit because the overlap is large; indexing stays Bing's decision. The mechanics live in our Bing and Copilot guide.
Then the proof: every approved landing page is registered against its target question and re-checked on each following scan for up to 120 days — a dated line, shipped this date, first cited that date — while the AEO Pixel and a GA4 integration read the AI-assistant visitors reaching your site, and a plain-English work report lands every 7 days. Timing stays the engines' call: practitioner testing compiled by Semrush in 2026 observed a median of roughly 6.8 days to a first ChatGPT citation once a page is indexed — an observation, never a promise. The submission half is worked through in Bing and Copilot optimization.
Trakkr's $100ends the day differently: signals become a weekly action playbook — its reviewers call the entries directional rather than prescriptive — and its MCP support plugs the data into the AI assistant you already use, with Trakkr's own framing that nothing ships without your approval. Note the symmetry: both products end at an approval gate. What differs is what waits at the gate — a chatbot session with your hands on the keyboard, or a finished artifact — and what follows the click: on our side, publishing, submission, and a receipt.

Trakkr cells verified August 2026 against published materials (trakkr.ai/pricing, learn.trakkr.ai, plus the 2026 reviews recorded in lib/seo/market-data.ts) — tendencies as documented, never absolutes; vendors reprice and ship features. AEO Action cells state what the product does today.
The second $49: where the sheets nearly touch
At the top rung the coincidence repeats: Trakkr Scale at $500 and AEO Action Agency at $549, ten clients each, both white-label, both with an API, $49 apart. Scale is the stronger pure-reporting bundle — 10 brands, 50 prompts per brand (same per-brand depth as Growth), 100 articles, unlimited seats, API, white-label agency portals. Ours runs the department per client instead: daily 50-question scans across all six engines we support, a prepared artifact and approve queue for every client, unlimited landing pages and drafts, and a read-only REST API with signed webhooks. The chooser is not the $49; it is what your retainer sells — and what retainers cost is the number both platforms should be measured against:
$2,000–6,000
per month — AEO agency retainers, the human rate for the work a tracker reports on and a department performs

Either platform prices a ten-client roster at a fraction of one such retainer — ours works out to about $55 per client. The margin arithmetic, client by client, is in AEO for agencies; every vendor's sticker sits in the AI visibility tool pricing table.
When Trakkr is the right pick
Genuine cases, not decoys — several kinds of reader should close this tab and buy Trakkr:
- You want the widest affordable watching net. All 8 models at $100, daily, flat — including Grok, Meta AI, and DeepSeek, which we do not scan at any price. If complete sightings are the deliverable, Trakkr is the better tracker here, and Rankscale is the wider-still option above it.
- Your work is research- and content-led. The benchmark database, the AI-consensus report pages, the free graders, and the public traffic index are working instruments for an SEO professional studying the field — nothing in our product replaces an aggregate market benchmark.
- Writers and developers are already on staff. Weekly playbooks plus your own hands is a coherent system; our execution layer would duplicate people you pay.
- Your team already fixes things through MCP.If your operators live inside their own AI-assistant sessions, Trakkr's hand-off meets that workflow where it is.
Four buyers, four honest calls
The SEO consultant tracking every surface
Buy Trakkr. Eight models, exports, benchmarks, and a no-card trial make it the strongest research seat at this price; our three Solo engines would feel like a keyhole.
The solo operator or local business with no writer
Buy AEO Action. At $149 the pages get written, approved, published, and submitted without a hire — the half of answer engine optimization that a wider dashboard never touches.
The marketing lead with writers on staff
Probably Trakkr. Its playbooks point your existing hands, and the 50-prompt cap fits a single-brand program; pay for our department only if findings keep dying in the backlog between your dashboards and your writers' calendars.
The agency choosing rails for ten clients
Split above: reporting retainers fit Scale, outcome retainers fit Agency, and the $49 between them is noise against either deliverable. The wider field is mapped in the best AI visibility tools by workflow stage.
When not to choose AEO Action
The disqualifiers, written by the vendor they disqualify:
- You need Grok, Meta AI, or DeepSeek watched. We do not scan them at any tier. Trakkr covers all three at $100.
- You want maximum engines at the entry price. Solo picks 3; all six engines we support require the Agency plan. Trakkr hands you 8 models on its cheapest paid plan. Breadth at the sticker is their game, not ours.
- Nobody will click Approve.Every artifact waits for a human. A team that won't review most days has bought an expensive tracker from us — buy a real tracker instead.
- You are on Wix, Shopify, or a custom build and expect a push. Those platforms get paste-ready HTML and schema with live verification — real output, but somebody on your side pastes it. Direct publishing covers Webflow and Squarespace; WordPress publishes via the plugin's hourly sync.
- You need emailed reports or card billing this week. Neither is live: reports stay in the product and export as PDFs, and there is no self-serve card checkout yet — the trial genuinely takes no card, which is the same fact read kindly.
- Your program needs enterprise analytics depth. We track 50–100 prompts per project. Thousands of prompts with panel-scale data behind them is Profound territory.
The cheapest head-to-head in the category
This is one comparison you can settle empirically for free. Trakkr offers a 14-day no-card trial with full Growth access; our free audit runs 30 live queries in about two to three minutes with no account, and the 7-day trial after it takes no card either. Run both in the same fortnight and watch what each hands you on day ten: a wider picture, or a shorter backlog. Two frictions to budget if you later switch either way: tracked prompt lists do not transplant — Trakkr holds a fixed set of 50 while we regenerate buyer questions from your business profile each scan — and trend history stays in the tool that drew it, so keep the loser running through one reporting boundary if a client deck depends on the line.
The verdict, unhedged: buy Trakkr at $100 if you have hands and want the widest watching net at this price — it is a genuinely good tracker wrapped in a content operation most rivals should envy; buy AEO Action at $149 if the watching was always supposed to end in shipped pages — the $49 difference buys the prepared artifact, the approve-to-published path, the IndexNow submission, and the dated receipt that platforms seven and eight never send.
The free audit runs 30 live queries in about two to three minutes — no account, no email, no card. The 7-day trial doesn't ask for a card either.
